Raichu has two forms, Alola Form, and Normal Form. It's impossible to evolve Pikachu into Raichu's Normal Form in Pokemon Sun.
Disclaimer: I am aware that not everybody is in possession of ALL of the following figures; this is simply to convey how Alolan Raichu can be abused in the current metagame using support that many of us might already have.Right off the bat, a 100 electro ball isn't a bad sight, but it's also not very flashy and can't do much on a 2mp. However, by utilizing support such as Tapu Koko and Jolteon (especially simultaneously) you've got a possible 230 damage move, which I don't believe can be achieved by anything except mega blastoise so far (without extensive combos). Pair that with the fact that if you get nuzzle, you can max revive it and try to hit for 200 on the figure that was paralyzed the turn prior to the attack. Nonetheless, the figure does have several cons, one of the most obvious being it's extreme vulnerability to wheel-manipulation whether it's via status or some form of respin. If played correctly though you can avoid these predicaments by hiding it behind another electric type such as zapdos or Jolteon and hoping for a KO, or Jolteon to paralyze them using thunder jolt, and trying to attack with a 200 BP electro ball next turn.
Obviously some requires plates that will benefit decks created around Alolan Raichu include:-Max Revive-Electro Energy-Double Chance- X-speed (I'm pretty sure it makes nuzzle gold, so basically a mew that paralyzes if knocked out)-Swap Spot (not necessarily for cheese, but rather getting out of tight spots and choosing more optimal matchups if an error is made.)As for figures, depending on what deck you decide to use it in, here's a list if the most basic support you can have for it:-Tapu Koko (run, block other koko, buff electric-types. I thought I was the only one who wanted this and was excited for it haha, that double damage is absolutely incredible!
I used to think Galvantula was amazing for hitting 120-140, Let alone Alolan Raichu hitting 200+, will be amazing in electric decks and I cant wait to see how some people use him.On Another note if someone has Magnezone and Electivire they are also pretty reliable mass paralyzers.Electivire was a Gym reward and bit weak for an EX, but the purple can really work out well and hes resistant to paralysis without Electro Energy.MagnetonMagnezone would be far better if you're lucky enough to have both, Hits like a semi and its purple is great for multi-paralyzing.
